Why a new car deal with us can save you more than a demo

Find out why buying a new car through carconnect can save you more than buying a demo model!

No, we’re not talking about a house demolition. Or a copy of ‘Demolition Man’ on DVD (solid ‘90s action flick if you’ve not seen it before, by the way). We are in fact referring to a dealership demonstration car.

A what?

If you’re not yet familiar with the ins and outs of what a demo is, it’s a car in the dealer’s stock that, while it’s been registered, has yet to be sold. This is because they are used by the dealership as cars for people to do test drives in. Further to this, they can also be used as loan cars for people bringing in their own vehicles for a service, as well as by staff (often management) in a general manner such as to and from work, to the shops and the like.

There are a couple of specifications for a demo car to be sold as such you should be aware of (if they don’t meet both of these, it’s simply a used car):

It cannot be over two years old

There cannot be more than 5,000 kilometres on the clock

Another consideration when buying a demo car is the warranty. You’re most likely to have the warranty included upon purchase, however because it kicks off as soon as the car is registered, if it’s right on the limit of 2 years old and its manufacturer warranty is 5 years, you’ll only have 3 years of warranty left.

How carconnect can save you more on a new car than if you went with a demo

When you’re on the prowl to find the hottest price for your new car, it’s always super-tempting to go with a demonstration vehicle from a dealership simply because they’ll have shaved a few grand off the purchase price.

But if you’d prefer a legit new car that you can be 100% certain has in no way been thrashed or generally mistreated and one you can choose your own colours, trim and extras (a demo is a WYSIWYG - what you see is what you get), yet still want an amazing purchase price, what do you do?

You go to the people who have more than two decades of experience in the car buying industry, of course!

Paving the way for how Aussies buy new cars, at carconnect you can feel 100% confident that you’re going to get an outstanding deal whatever type of car you’re looking to purchase.

We know the car buying process has remained stagnant for too long. And we know you, the buyer, are over how it all works. From the anxiety-inducing haggling through to the unnerving doubt about whether you got a reasonable price or not.

That’s what led to the launch of carconnect - Australia’s premier new car buying platform that simplifies the entire process and removes all of the stress. Give us a go today and find out how fantastic the price of your new car can be!
